Special Cargo Handling: Oil Facilities

The Barbados National Oil Terminal's Fuel Tank Farm, constructed for the storage of imported petroleum product as well as the storage for local crude to be exported, is located at the northern perimeter of Grantley Adams International Airport runway. This development also included the supply and installation of some 19 miles each of 3 different pipelines to carry the product from the landing points to the storage tanks. The material and allied equipment was handled by the stevedoring division of Sea Freight Agencies. Sea Freight Agencies currently handles the port operations for Shell and Exxon/Mobil tankers.
